I put on a Volant. Took about an hour. Would have gone faster with good instructions. Can't tell if there is more power or better milage. Get a little more engine sound.

I have the Vararam and love the factory looking fit and finish. The throttle response is RIGHT NOW! Consider this one if you have not purchased one yet.

I put Roto-Fab air induction system on my G8 and it performs very well you can call them at 260-375-4480.

No check engine light for me with the Vararam. I disconnected the negative terminal on battery for a full 2 hours after install, so the computer could re-learn the change in better air flow.

Just put a Vararam on my 09 G8. Very noticable increase in power and deepened the engine growel a bit.

Hey, I have a 2009 G8 V6 I'm wanting to install a k&n cold air intake, stupid question, does this void any kind of warranty?

Many owners have installed a CAI on their vehicles and I never heard of it voiding their warranty. Most car manufactures sell a factory CAI made by a third party also.

any imporved mpg's with the vararam? I"m seriously considering getting one of these, it sounds like a good investment considering all the highway driving I do.

Ok, so I got my VR CAI installed today. Followed instructions, my car was a little different than they stated in the documents, oh well, still went ok. Disconnected battery blah blah... Ok, first of all, I've never owned a V8 before, and any car I had I've never put mods on it...exhaust, intake, etc... Nothing noticable at first when driving through town to get to the open road...but WOW. It feels and sounds like a completely different car. I tell you that to tell you this...I screwed around in my friends 05 GTO, he's got the K&N CAI and an exhaust of some kind...that was by far the fastest and scariest car I've ever driven. Smoking the tires into 4th! This car reminded me of that. I couldn't do a burnout with my original stuff, tonight though, I could have laid a mile of tracks. Awesome Awesome intake, couldn't believe what I heard or felt.!!!!! Also, I don't know much about CAI, but do they all add the growl that this one adds? Its hard for me to fathem that the factory intake has that much resistance, its like it was choking for air...until now.

let us know how it works. Thats a darn pricey CAI, too much for me anyway. I have noticed better fuel mileage already. The AFM seems to kick on more frequently. I used to average 17 or 18 mpg, my last 2 tanks have gotten over 20, and I'm seeing like 33 and 34 on the highway going 59 or 60mph!!!!!! I was like WHOA! Anyway, is it worth 360 bucks? I can't really say. I believe that I'll pay for it in saving of fuel, but it might not be worth THAT much. However, it sounds great and it looks darn good too.

Hey, guys
I just had my g8 dyno tuned today with the Volant CIA and I found out that the air filter chokes the motor, We swapped out the filter for a K&N style and picked up 10 rear wheel horsepower.
