I have an '08 G8 Sedan, & a problem I have is that when I roll down the windows & then roll them back up, they are streaked badly w/ water, like the weatherstripping in the window track isn't adequate. The dealership says all the '09 models on their lot have the same streaky look if you roll down the windows while their wet or if it's rained recently. Also, on the '08 & '09 models w/ manual (turn-knob) climate controls, the remote starter does NOT turn on your heater or A/C.

I have the same problem with just the drivers side window. I was concerned that the water was staying in the door too long because it was not draining.

i've tried to get something done about the wet/streaky window issue (also the remote start issue) but GM will do NOTHING. they consider the vehicle 'operating normally' and refuse to discuss the matter any further. i've filed a complaint w/ consumeraffairs.com, who look into each complaint and file class-action lawsuits if multiple people have the same issues w/ a vehicle.

Is the water streaking of the windows on the inside or outside?

Take it in. Warranty will cover it.

i already tried that. the dealership tested all 3 G8's on their lot and said they're all like that, that's just the way they were built and it has to do w/ the type of weatherstripping used in the window tracts, and there's nothing they can do about it. when i complained to GM, they told me same thing- car's not defective because ALL G8's are like that!
