I seem to have a difficult time cleaning the dashboard. It holds lint and seems to scratch easy. Also the door panels get marks from my shoes and I can't seem to get them out. Any suggestions out there on how to get these out?

Meguires makes some pretty good all purpose wipes. Perhaps try them out. I find even with scuffs the stuff works with a little elbo greese lol!

I have not tried it on my G8 yet, but I have always cleaned my interior with Armor All Wipes.

Try grease lightening for shoe scuffs, then protectorant.

Thanks for the responses. So far I've tried the Armor All and the Meguire's with no luck on the scuffs. The
Armorall natural finish detailer works great on the interior!! I'm going to give the Grease lightening a try on the scuffs next. Thanks for the suggestions!!!

what kind of cloth wipes are you using w/ the armor-all natural finish? i've also had problems w/lint on dash & have tried many types of rags w/ little to no success.

I use a small foam sponge, similar to those they give you with some liquid car polishes/waxes. It works great!

If they are the black scuff marks- brake cleaner works great !
For the regular off white colored scuffs, especially on black interior, I use auto Magic.

Try Magic Eraser for scuffs. It works great. Think it can be found at most grocery stores. HEB here in South Texas.

What about the static cling dust wipes (swifter) for the lint. I was thinking the same thing about the dash and lint. I haven't tried it yet because the car is too new to see dust!

Do you have a shop vac? Need not be expensive model. Usually comes with a round attachment with bristles. Works great if you gently use it to break the static bond of the dust/lint on the dash. If you use a protective coating like Armoral that in itself will collect dust.

I have the same problem too with the scuffs and getting the dashboard clean without lint. I'm going to try to get the scuffs out this weekend, I will let you know if I have any success. But that does kind of suck that Pontiac made them so easy to scuff. Btw, that is a great idea to use a wax applicator on the dash, I'll try that this weekend. Thanks!

Have been using a product I bought at my computer store called Max cleaning wipes for electronics. Works great on all the surfaces in the interior other than the scuffs that are discussed.

For dust on the dash I just use a swiffer cloth. Works great! I also use a paint brush to wipe around the sterio and those small places that catch dust and small particles. I dont like using shiny wipes cause of the greasy film but I found that Mcguires natural shine wipes works great! They make the car shine without that greasy feel.
