Hello, from an old guy in Nebraska. Looking over this site to gain information about the new G8. Contemplating buying a G8 GT or waiting for a G8gxp.

Welcome to the forumZ. Have you heard a rumor that a GXP version was in the works or you going from Pontiac's normal progression of models?

From the research I did.. It is totally going to depend on if you want Automatic or if you want Manual. The GXP is going to be offered as Manual (I believe!). Also it is going to have a 6.2 liter (400 Horse) V8 in it. Basically the difference in engines is that the GT has the LS2 model engine in it and the GXP is going to have the LS3 engine in it. Not to mention the sticker price on the GXP is going to start around 38K. Hopefully this provides some insight into what you are wondering.

Welcome! I think you will be happy to add the G8 to your current list of rides. I bet there are some great stretches of road to drive in Nebraska.
