GT is the first "American" car to excite me in a long time. Do you think the est $5K bump from $33K (GT) will still be a price/perf steal? Also, since I keep cars a long time, I'm cocerned about replacement costs for Brembo brakes and fully-adjustable dampers. That and only a 15-17 lbs increase in torque. Thanks.

Welcome to the forumZ. Is it worth the wait and cost;good question. If the GT meets your need then no its not. But if you want the best handling, most performance, then the wait and cost are justified.

hey whats up people new to the forum i'm about to buy a g8 gt white outside black/red leather guts...was def wondering if i should hold off or if modding a gt will get the same results as the 6.2L ls3 in the gxp. how is everyone liking their gt's i heard all the regular "not loud enough exhaust" "little too much body roll" but how are they workin out after gettin broken in and with some aftermarket

Test drove a G8 GT a few days ago. The exhaust is way too quiet. My 2000 SSEi is louder. I didn't notice much body roll. The 'slapstick' shifter is pretty cool. I'll wait for the GXP. The accessories available for the 6.2 will be more numerous than the 6.0 in the long run I think.

This air intake mod looks worthwhile.

I did not buy the GT version, just the V6 version with the 1SB package (Upgraded Stereo, Sun roof, etc...) but I have to say I love the quiet exhaust and the smooth ride. Even with only 256hp this car can move pretty good. I'll take some pictures and post them this weekend for everybody.

just found out from some insider guys that the gxp could be up to 6 months from now before you're even able to think about driving one off a lot... :( gonna make the move and get the 09 g8 gt white hot...black/red leather and in 6 months it'll be quicker than the factory gxp's :)

Buy the G8 and when the GXP is orderable, just trade-in for it!

I went to test drive the G8........love it.......love the power........but i missed manual transmission.........the test drive verified one thing for me.........IM WAITING FOR A GXP.....
